The Macallan Classic Cut 2020 is the fourth edition of an annual limited series, a single malt matured in Sherry Oak casks. Whisky maker Ian Morrison chose a bottling strength of 55% ABV to bring out the dominant sweetness and balanced flavours of the casks. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
The colour is an earthy gold. Orange and lemon citrus lead the nose, over sweet nutmeg, ginger and hints of vanilla and polished oak. The palate has ginger and nutmeg with full, sweet vanilla and a touch of orange. The finish is medium sweet, ending in long, dry oak.
