This is a Knockdhu single malt bottled by Adelphi at 18 years old, in a 70cl bottle at 56.2%. It was distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2026 from cask #13818, a refill Oloroso sherry cask that produced 272 bottles. The second-fill oloroso keeps the spirit in front, between pastry, caramel and gentle spice.
The nose is rich and pastry-like, with cookie dough, burnt caramel, brown butter, toasted marshmallow, butterscotch, gingerbread, cardamom and golden raisins. The palate has cinnamon-poached pear, salted liquorice, molasses, warm sourdough, macerated boysenberries and rye. The finish is medium in length and savoury, recalling a Twiglet.
