Adelphi's Islay 10 Year Old is a small-batch single malt from Caol Ila distillery on Islay, bottled independently by Adelphi at 46% ABV. It is natural in colour and not chill-filtered.
The whisky spent ten years in a combination of refill sherry and bourbon casks. Maritime peat leads, with coastal smoke and sea spray alongside bright citrus, vanilla sweetness and gentle sherry richness.
The nose brings mineral peat smoke and sea spray with lemon zest and vanilla. On the palate, ashy peat and salinity give way to citrus, salted nuts and light honey. The finish is long, with bonfire smoke, citrus peel and brine.
