This is a Glen Elgin from Speyside, bottled by Adelphi after 10 years of maturation, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It is a vatting of first fill and refill Oloroso sherry hogsheads, and 1,800 bottles were produced.
The nose is bright and delicate, with orange oil, Meyer lemon, manuka honey, daffodil and toasted almonds. The palate is rich and velvety, with pasteis de nata, marzipan, candied lemon, pear cooked with salt and crisp green grape. The finish is fresh and fruity.
