Adnams English Rye Malt Whisky is made from a mash bill of 75% rye and 25% East Anglian malted barley, in a 70cl bottle. It matured in new French oak for at least five years and was named Best English Rye at the World Whiskies Awards in 2021.
On the nose there are Christmas cake spices and candied fruit, with marzipan, vanilla, chocolate and black peppercorns. The palate brings spicy rye bread, raisin fudge, honey and hedgerow fruit, and the finish is long, with pepper, coffee and honeyed sweetness.
