Adnams – Rye Malt English Whisky (70cl, 47%)

Adnams Rye Malt is an English rye whisky from Southwold, made from a mash of 25% East Anglian malted barley and 75% rye. The rye is grown on a farm in Reydon, close to the distillery. It spent at least five years in new French oak barrels before being bottled at 47% in a 70cl bottle, and it won Best English Rye at the World Whiskies Awards in 2021. The nose has warm vanilla, raisin fudge and black peppercorn. The palate brings spicy rye bread, honey and hedgerow fruit, and the finish is long with pepper, coffee and honeyed sweetness.
