Adnams Triple Malt is an English whisky in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 47% ABV. It is made from wheat, barley and oats: the wheat adds smoothness and the oats a creamy quality.
It spent five years in new American oak barrels, which brought out strong flavours of coconut and chocolate.
The nose is complex, with spice, coconut, toasted oak, citrus fruit and sweet honey. The palate offers chocolate, sweet orange peel, caramelised almonds, honey and pepper. The finish is long and rich, with cocoa nibs and charred oak.
