Akashi Blended Whisky (75cl)

Akashi Blended Whisky is a Japanese blend from Eigashima Shuzo, in the town of Akashi in Hyogo Prefecture, near Kobe Bay. The company was founded in 1888 and received Japan's first whisky licence in 1919. It began producing whisky in 1984, using copper pot stills at its White Oak facility. The coastal setting is said to shape the maturing whisky, giving it a savoury, saline character. The nose is subtle sea air with malt. The palate is savoury and saline, and the finish is smooth and refined.
