Akashi Single Malt Whisky (75cl)

Akashi Single Malt is a Japanese single malt from Eigashima Shuzo, the small White Oak distillery at Akashi in Hyogo Prefecture, near Kobe Bay. The company was founded in 1888 and holds Japan's first whisky licence, issued in 1919. Whisky production at scale began in 1984, using dedicated copper pot stills. The whisky matures in the coastal air of Kobe Bay. The nose is delicate, floral and fruity with a maritime freshness, the palate savoury and saline, and the finish smooth and lingering.
