Akashi – Ume Blend (50cl)

Akashi Ume Blend is a Japanese whisky in a 50cl bottle, made by blending oak-matured whisky with umeshu, a traditional Japanese liqueur of macerated ume plums. The nose combines ripe fruit with caramel and vanilla from the wood. On the palate the sweetness of the umeshu sits beside the whisky and adds a light acidity. The finish is long, with echoes of dried fruit and spice. It is best served lightly chilled.
