Akashi – White Oak Japanese Blended Whisky (1.8L)

Akashi White Oak is a Japanese blended whisky in a 1.8 litre bottle, made as an approachable sipper. It is distilled from wheat, barley and rye, with subtle peat, and aged in ex-bourbon, barley shochu and sherry barrels. The coastal location adds hints of salinity to its malty, citrusy character. The nose is slightly fruity, with lemon, cherry, toffee, oats and sea air. The palate is clean and easy, with vanilla and pine nuts, and the finish is long and wheaty.
