This is a single cask Japanese single malt from the Akkeshi distillery on Hokkaido, bottled by Adelphi. It was distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2025 at three years old, after maturing entirely in a first fill bourbon barrel. It comes at a cask strength of 57.7%, from an outturn of 265 bottles.
The nose offers warming wood smoke, sweet vanilla and fresh fruit. The palate is spicy and strong, with pepper, barbecue, smoked meat and grilled marshmallows. The finish is long and smoky, with lasting spice and a deep peaty character.
