This is a Japanese blended whisky from Akkeshi, a distillery on Hokkaido. It was bottled in 2021 at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The style nods to Islay, with subtle smoke alongside soft spices and fresh notes of citrus and vanilla.
The nose is light smoke, white pepper, floral notes and green apple. On the palate there is soft peat, vanilla, citrus zest and a light minerality. The finish is medium-long and smoky, with a sweet spiciness.
