Akkeshi Risshu is a heavily peated Japanese single malt from the Akkeshi distillery on Hokkaido. It is the 13th release in the distillery's well-regarded '24 Sekki' series, which is based on the solar terms.
The smoky, salty character recalls classic Islay malts, yet it is shaped by the cool climate of northern Japan. This is the 2025 edition, and it comes in a box with a dark blue and petrol gradient.
