Akkeshi Risshun is a single malt from the Akkeshi Distillery in Hokkaido, bottled at 55% ABV in a 700ml bottle. It is the 14th entry in the Twenty-Four Solar Terms Series, and its name means spring begins.
The barley was grown in Hokkaido, and the whisky was matured in Hokkaido Mizunara oak casks. It is the peatiest expression in the series so far, and it carries no age statement.
