Akkeshi – Taisho 2022 Blended Japanese Whisky (48%)

Akkeshi Taisho 2022 is a blended Japanese whisky from the Akkeshi distillery in Hokkaido, bottled at 48%. It is dedicated to the hottest time of the year and its many fireworks festivals, and its indigo design is inspired by yukata, the light summer kimonos. Akkeshi blends its own single malt with grain whisky that was bought as new spirit and matured on site. Maturation took place in several casks, including Mizunara oak. The notes describe citrus freshness from grapefruit to lime, with a hint of salt and sage and sweet chocolate.
