Akkeshi – Usui Blended Whisky (70cl, 48%)

Akkeshi Usui is a blended whisky from the Akkeshi distillery on Hokkaido, Japan, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It is the second release in the 24 Solar Term series, which takes its cue from the old Asian calendar, where the year is divided into 24 solar seasons. The blend sets the soft, fragrant peat of Akkeshi malt against the lightness of grain whisky. The distillery stands on the seafront with the Pacific a few metres away, surrounded by marshes and with direct access to local peat. This edition is limited to 15,000 bottles.
