Alberta Premium Rye Cask Strength is a Canadian rye whisky, here the 2nd release, bottled at 66% abv in a 75cl bottle.
It is made and distilled in Calgary, Alberta, from a 100% rye mash bill with Rocky Mountain water. Alberta Premium is produced by Alberta Distillers and owned by Suntory Global Spirits.
The nose is sweet, woody and oaky with a hint of vanilla. The palate is smooth, with caramel, vanilla and a hint of chocolate, balanced by rye spice and blackcurrants. The finish is soft and long, with spices, warm vanilla and dark fruits.
