This is a 16-year-old Glenrothes single malt from Speyside, bottled by Alistair Walker in the Infrequent Flyers series at a cask strength of 58.1%, in a 70cl bottle. It comes from a single Moscatel hogshead, which brought fruity, floral and honeyed tones, and it yielded 306 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose has honey, orange blossom and ripe peach, then raisins, apricot and soft vanilla. The palate shows grapes, figs and candied orange with creamy caramel and malty sweetness. The finish is long and warming, with sweet wine notes, honey and soft spice, ending lightly dry.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
