This is a 17-year-old Allt-A-Bhainne single malt from 2008, bottled at 62.3% ABV by Milroy's. It is not chill-filtered and has no added colour.
It matured in a third-fill sherry butt, which brings a rich sherry influence and a well-developed sweetness to the elegant, fruity character of this Speyside distillery.
The nose offers cinnamon doughnuts, tiramisu and sticky toffee pudding with a warm, earthy note. On the palate come strawberry, vanilla cake, creamy icing and boiled sweets. The finish moves through orchard fruit and oak into a long, aromatic earthiness.
