This is a 20 year old Speyside single malt from Allt-a-Bhainne, bottled by Signatory Vintage in its Cask Strength Collection at 52.4% ABV.
It was distilled on 26 July 2000 and matured in a hogshead, then finished for 8 months in a fresh sherry butt before bottling on 19 April 2021. The outturn was 703 bottles.
The nose is intense, with raisins, vanilla, balsamic, spice and chocolate. The palate is full and creamy, with spice, caramel, candied fruit, nuts, cinnamon and some oak. The finish is medium in length, with biscuits and malt.
