A 22 year old Speyside single malt from Allt-a-Bhainne, bottled by Signatory Vintage in its Cask Strength Collection. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 51.6% ABV.
The spirit was filled into a hogshead in 2000 and matured there for 20 years. It then spent 24 months in a fresh sherry butt before bottling in 2022. It is natural colour, and 447 bottles were produced.
The nose is sweet and sugary, with red berries, sherry and dark chocolate. The palate brings warm oak and spice, citrus peel and plum jam, and the finish carries on with fruit, baking spices and chocolate.
