anCnoc Peatheart is a peated Highland single malt from Knockdhu distillery, founded in 1894 beneath Knock Hill. This is Batch 2.
The barley is specified by the master blender and malted to 40 PPM, which sets the level of peat smoke in the spirit.
The nose combines understated peat smoke and barbecue with ripe pineapple, pear and baked toffee apples, lifted by vanilla and fresh lemon rind. The palate is full and structured, with rich smoke, gummy bears, spun sugar, hay barn and fudge. The finish is long, spicy and sweet, ending in warming smoke.
