AnCnoc Peatheart is a Highland single malt from Knockdhu Distillery, which was established in 1894. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle and is pale amber in colour.
The barley for Peatheart is specified by the master blender and malted to a peat level of 40PPM.
On the nose, a first burst of smoke gives way to ripe pear, apple and lime, with a touch of tobacco behind. The palate brings smoke with leather and stewed apples, alongside chocolate, vanilla and lemon. The finish is warm and lingering, with a floral smokiness.
