anCnoc Peatheart is a peated single malt Scotch whisky from Knockdhu distillery, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
It is made from barley malted to 40 PPM and aged in ex-bourbon barrels before bottling.
The nose combines shortbread, oatcakes and pipe tobacco with earthy peat smoke, citrus peel and vanilla ice cream. Chocolate malt, a touch of barbecued meat, cinder toffee and cardamom follow on the palate. The finish stays smoky, with green apple and orange blossom alongside.
