This is a 10 year old peated Highland single malt from the Knockdhu distillery in Aberdeenshire, founded in 1894. The brand usually makes an unpeated style, and this expression uses peat from Aberdeenshire.
It matured in ex-bourbon casks of American oak.
The nose is sweet bonfire smoke, freshly cut grass and runny honey. On the palate come smoky vanilla, green apples and orange zest, with a citrus finish.
