A Barolo from Castiglione Falletto, made by Anna Maria Abbona from 100% Nebbiolo. It is aged for a long period in oak casks, softening the robust tannins and developing refined aromas. In the glass it is an intense, lively garnet red. The nose shows faded rose, cherry, sweet spices and a light tobacco note. On the palate it is elegant and austere, with silky tannins and a persistent finish. It suits traditional Piedmontese dishes such as braised meats and roasts.
