A Barbera d'Alba DOC from Anna Maria Abbona, from the Langhe in Piedmont. Made from Barbera grapes, it is aged partly in steel to preserve freshness and fruit, and partly in wood for structure and aromatic complexity. Ruby red in colour, it has aromas of cherry, plum and spicy notes with a light balsamic touch. The palate is soft and enveloping, with vibrant acidity that balances the body and gives persistence. It suits red meats, aged cheeses and ragù pasta.
