Annandale – Man O' Words Founders Selection Bourbon Cask #389 (70cl, 60.2%)

This is a single malt from Annandale, from cask 389, an ex-bourbon cask that gave a light golden colour. It is bottled at 60.2% in a 70cl bottle, and the cask dates from 2015. Man O' Words is the Annandale range dedicated to Robert Burns, who was exciseman in the Annan area in his later years. It is the name given to the unpeated expressions. The nose is sweet, with cream soda, pear drops and fresh green apples. The palate has bursts of mango, pineapple and cool melon, leading to a lingering note of vanilla and creamy caramel.
