This is Man O'Sword from the 2016 release, taken from cask 1097, a refill ex-bourbon cask. The spirit was distilled at Annandale and is smoky in character.
The refill bourbon cask gives that smoky spirit a gentle backdrop. The whisky is described as having cooked orchard fruits, soft embers and herbal spice, alongside caramel sweetness, roasted hazelnuts and soft pear, with a rich, syrupy texture.
