Antique Lions of Spirits Mannochmore 28 Year Old

This is a 28 year old Mannochmore bottled by Antique Lions of Spirits as a single cask release. The whisky was distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2016. Antique Lions of Spirits is a collaboration between Max Righi of Silver Seal Whisky Company, Diego Sandrin of Lions Whisky and Jens Drewitz of Sansibar. Its first series pays tribute to the Birds bottlings that the Italian bottler Moon Import released in 1988. The nose offers pineapple, cream chocolate, exotic spices and lime. The palate starts with a spicy attack that softens into sweetness and apple, and the long, fruity finish ends on sweet Finnish liquorice.
