A 25-year-old single malt from Ardbeg on Islay, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV.
The distillery sits on Islay's south coast, on the road from Port Ellen to Kildalton. Its name means 'little height', and its water comes from Loch Arinambeast and Loch Uigeadail. Ardbeg is known for smoky, peaty and salty whiskies with strong phenolic character.
The distillery has had a turbulent history, including periods of closure. Glenmorangie PLC bought it in 1997, and it celebrated its 200th birthday in 2015.
