Ardbeg Corryvreckan is an Islay single malt bottled at 57.1% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The distillery stands on the south coast of Islay, on the road from Port Ellen to Kildalton. Ardbeg means 'little height'. Its water comes from Loch Arinambeast and Loch Uigeadail, and it is known for smoky, peaty and salty whiskies with strong phenolic character. After several closures over its history, the distillery passed to Glenmorangie PLC in 1997. Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy bought that company in 2004, and Ardbeg marked its 200th birthday in 2015.
