Ardbeg Grooves is a Committee Release from the Islay distillery, issued as a limited edition to mark Ardbeg Day at Fèis Ìle 2018. The smoky Ardbeg spirit is matured twice, the second time in red-wine casks that have been heavily re-toasted. The deep char left in the wood is cut with grooves, which concentrate the flavour. It is bottled at Committee strength. It is described as pairing camp-fire smoke with bright, jammy fruit and a touch of spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
