Ardbeg – Perpetuum 2015 (70cl, 47.4%)

Ardbeg Perpetuum is a bicentenary bottling made to mark 200 years of the Ardbeg distillery on Islay. It was first presented at Ardbeg Day in May 2015 and is a limited edition. It is a vatting without an age statement, combining very old and very young bourbon and sherry casks. It is bottled at 47.4% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without added colour. The nose brings soot, tar, iodine and pine resin, with dark chocolate, coffee and nuts. The palate is full of peat smoke, with smoked bacon, cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish is very long, with linseed oil.
