Ardbeg – Perpetuum Committee Release 2015 (70cl, 49.2%)

Ardbeg Perpetuum Committee Release 2015 is an Islay single malt bottled at 49.2% in a 70cl bottle. It marks the distillery's 200th anniversary in 2015. This limited edition was made for members of the Ardbeg Committee, and the distillery gives the outturn as roughly 12,000 bottles. The colour is dark amber. The nose opens with tar, soot and pine resin, leading to dark chocolate, molasses toffee and subtle nutty oak. The palate is robust peat smoke, smoked bacon, cinnamon and nutmeg, with creamy vanilla milk chocolate. The finish is very long, with linseed oil, a hint of sherry cask, and subtle charcoal and tar.
