Ardbeg Traigh Bhan is a 19 year old Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 46.2% ABV on 17 July 2019. This is the first batch, matured in American oak and Oloroso sherry casks. It is named after the Singing Sands beach on Islay's south coast, which also appears on the packaging.
The nose has smoky pineapple, soured cream and wood smoke, with fresh oak, black leather, toffee and liquorice. The palate is peaty and smoky, salty at first, then sweet and sour with chocolate, smoked chilli and mint. The finish is long and gentle, with mild wood smoke.
