Wee Beastie is a 5 year old Islay single malt from Ardbeg. It was matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, and the sherry influence gives it a slightly sweeter profile.
The nose brings peat, tar, seaweed and leather, with lemon and fresh apple behind. The palate is full, peppery and a little salty, and sweeter than a whisky of this age might suggest.
