An Ardmore single malt distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2026 by the independent family bottler Claxton's for its Warehouse No. 1 series. Cask C26142 was filled on 9 November 2015, and the whisky then spent ten years in a first fill Pedro Ximénez sherry hogshead. It comes from that single cask at 56.1% ABV, in an outturn of 214 bottles, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
Ardmore is a peated malt. The nose pairs earthy peat smoke with honey, malt, plums and raisins, with cinnamon and clove behind. The palate is creamy, with dark chocolate and brown sugar, and the long, smoky finish brings sweet dates and dry wood.
