This is an 11-year-old Highland single malt from Ardmore, bottled by Cadenhead's on 27 January 2022 for its Original Collection. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with no added colour.
The whisky was finished in Pinot Noir wine casks from 2020. The wine adds fruit and softness to Ardmore's lightly peated, smoky character without masking the smoke.
The nose offers soft smoke, cherry and raspberry, light spice and a hint of wet wood. On the palate there is smoke, red fruit, malt and subtle tannins, with a soft, wine-like freshness. The finish is medium-long and slightly dry, with smoke and a fruity note.
