Ardmore 12 Year Old Portwood Finish is a Highland single malt from Scotland, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle without chill-filtration or added colour.
The whisky spends ten years in ex-bourbon casks before a two-year finish in port casks. The result combines smoky and fruity character.
The nose brings fresh strawberries and summer fruit with a little pepper, then dried orange and cinnamon. On the palate there are sweet red apples and honey with a light smokiness. The finish is soft and long, with medium peat smoke and a dry close.
