A single cask Ardmore from Gordon & MacPhail's Reserve range, distilled on 21 August 1997 and bottled in September 2012 at 59% ABV. It is 15 years old.
The whisky matured in a refill sherry hogshead, which yielded 298 bottles.
Tasting notes describe a nose of carbon, ink, cow dung and a plate of cheeses, turning smoky and grassy with water. The palate is lemon juice, smoked ham, bitter herbs and green pepper, and the finish is very long, green and grassy.
