A 35-year-old Ardmore from Gordon & MacPhail's Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength series, in a 70cl bottle at a natural cask strength of 57.1%. It was distilled in 1987, matured in a refill American hogshead and bottled in 2022. The cask yielded 171 bottles. It is neither coloured nor chill-filtered.
The character joins citrus and tropical fruit with sweet notes, oak and smoke. The nose offers lemon and lime sweetness, soft white chocolate, floral notes, pressed apple and firm smoke. The palate is smooth, with pineapple and guava, marshmallow, then desiccated coconut, roasted almonds and oak. The long finish keeps its citrus, with gentle vanilla.
