Ardmore 1998 Gordon & MacPhail is a Highland single malt matured in refill sherry casks and bottled at 43%. Polished wood, unripe fruit, honey and nuts form its initial aromas.
Adding water brings out cooked butter and citrus notes. Honey returns on the palate alongside oak, before a little white pepper spice appears on the finish.
