This is a 21 year old Highland single malt from Ardmore, bottled by Douglas Laing in its Old Particular series. It was distilled in November 1999 and bottled in June 2021 at 51.5% ABV, without added colour and non-chill-filtered. The whisky matured in a refill hogshead and comes from a single cask, which gave 297 bottles. It is lightly smoky in character. The nose is aromatic, round and full, with subtle smoke and gently peated barley. On the palate it is mouth-coating and peppery, with phenolic grain amid crushed sugar. The finish is long, with sweet peat and oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
