This Ardmore was distilled on 23 December 2008 and bottled on 12 January 2022 at 13 years old, from an ex-Laphroaig barrel. It comes from the Single Cask Collection Austria series, with 233 bottles filled.
The nose starts with peat and warm smoke, with salt, fruit sugar and cereal. The palate is richly smoky with very sweet peat, soft in texture with only light salt, and hints of sponge biscuit and porridge. The finish opens with a peppery heat before turning soft, long and dry, with a gentle sweetness left on the tongue.
