Ardmore – 2008 8 Year Old Berry Bros. & Rudd (2017) (70cl, 46%)

This is an Ardmore single malt distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2017 at eight years old. It is an independent bottling from Berry Bros. & Rudd, in a 70cl bottle at 46%, with natural colour and no chill-filtering. The Highland distillery's light peat smoke sits alongside honey, soft herbs and fresh citrus, with youthful vigour balanced by a creamy sweetness. The nose is soft smoke, vanilla, fresh apple and light spices. On the palate come peppery smoke, honey, citrus and malty sweetness, and the finish is medium long, slightly smoky and dry-spicy.
