This is a 12-year-old Ardmore single malt, distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2022 at 57.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was selected by independent bottler Watt Whisky and released in an outturn of 236 bottles.
The whisky was fully matured in a barrel. Ardmore is a Highland distillery, and the source of malty notes blended with smoke.
Expect a firm, malty whisky in which smoky and earthy notes sit alongside fruit, vanilla, wood and spice. A few drops of water can open it up and bring out the aromas more softly.
