This Ardmore was distilled in 2009 and bottled on 18 February 2022 at 12 years old, as part of Elixir Distillers' The Single Malts of Scotland series. It is bottled at 54.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle, and only 121 bottles were filled.
Matured in an ex-Laphroaig barrel, it pairs Ardmore's smoky Highlands character with the salty, medicinal notes of Islay.
The nose shows peat smoke, sea salt, vanilla, charred wood and mineral notes. On the palate are powerful smoke, citrus peel, roasted malt, light ash, honey and white pepper. The finish is long and dry, medicinal and smoky, with a hint of oak.
