This is a 14-year-old Ardmore single malt from the Highlands, distilled in July 2009 and bottled in March 2024 by Douglas Laing for its Old Particular range. It is bottled at 52% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured in a single refill barrel and was bottled at natural cask strength, without colouring or chill filtration, in a run of 216 bottles. Ardmore was founded in 1898 near Kennethmont in Aberdeenshire and still uses peated malt. The nose is earthy and sweet, with peat, fresh orchard fruit and red berries. The palate opens with more orchard fruit, then turns to strawberry jam on toast. The finish has well-integrated peat, lingering sweetness and rich, malty cereal.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
